GivingTuesday 2016 was a great success, in large part due to the generosity of our donors.
With your support we were able to raise a total of $8,845, which is 33% more than last year’s GivingTuesday campaign outcome!
Your donations directly impact CAPAL’s programming and provides young leaders the opportunity to cultivate their interests and strengths in public service. Thank you for building the pipeline of tomorrow’s AANHPI leaders.
Although GivingTuesday has concluded, it’s not too late to donate to CAPAL for 2016!
The CAPAL scholarship has made my summer internship with the House Democratic Caucus financially feasible, and I am so grateful for CAPAL. I have gained practical experience in an array of functions within a Congressional office, ranging from policy to press. I hope to come back to Capitol Hill and work for a caucus, a Democratic Member or Democratic staff of a committee after I graduate. -Disha Banik, 2015 House Democratic Caucus Scholar
With your support, CAPAL is able to provide internship experiences to over 30 students like Disha each summer. But we do more than provide financial assistance. Our scholars and interns attend our Washington Leadership Program, gain access to high-level professionals in public service through our AANHPI Roundtable Series and are paired with a mentor to help guide their summer experience.
Your donation makes this possible. Help us build the pipeline for AANHPI leadership in the public sector.

CAPAL started with a single goal: to increase the presence and visibility of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) in public service, and to build a community of leaders passionate about giving back to their community and country.
Today CAPAL continues to fulfill that goal by playing a critical role in building public policy knowledge within the AANHPI community, a position we couldn’t have achieved without your support. Our programs have informed and guided hundreds of young professionals on their path to public service. But we can do more. Join our Champions Circle and help us diversify our reach and draw even more talented students and young professionals to our programs. By building the pipeline for AANHPIs in public service, we’re ensuring the issues faced by our community will continue to be actively addressed.
