2017 225x300 Donate

Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity and giving back. It inspires personal philanthropy and encourages bigger, better, and smarter charitable giving during the holiday season. This year’s theme is #CAPAL4GENERATIONS, and is a reflection of this fundraising campaign’s fourth anniversary as well as the idea that CAPAL is, first and foremost, an organization created by AANHPIs “for” AANHPIs.

This year, help us raise $10,000 to provide young AANHPI leaders with the opportunity to cultivate their interests and strengths in public service. Thank you for building the pipeline of tomorrow’s AANHPI leaders.

Public service takes many forms; spending a summer in DC also takes many forms. That being said, CAPAL is a program that caters to a variety of backgrounds. Diverse placements into different federal agencies allowed even me, a computer science major, to find a way forward in public service. If you have some inkling of interest about working in federal government, CAPAL is a great opportunity to help flesh out that idea. -Richard Li, 2017 US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Intern, sponsored by Google Intern

With your support, CAPAL is able to provide internship experiences to over 30 students like Richard each summer. But we do more than provide financial assistance. Our scholars and interns attend our Washington Leadership Program, gain access to high-level professionals in public service through our AANHPI Roundtable Series and are paired with a mentor to help guide their summer experience.

Your donation makes this possible. Help us build the pipeline for AANHPI leadership in the public sector.

$10 – Support a young professional attending one of CAPAL’s AANHPI Leadership Roundtable Series
$50 – Provide printing and supplies for CAPAL’s entire AANHPI Leadership Roundtable Series
$100 – Support a monthly professional development event, such as CAPAL’s happy hours or Diversity Talks series and/or support a board member’s participation in CAPAL’s Annual Board Retreat
$500 – Travel stipend for an intern and/or sponsor all CAPAL 2015 scholar and intern social activities and/or sponsor CAPAL’s AANHPI Career Fair
