Job Description

During the summer internship, the selected individual can expect to network and work on innovative initiatives that benefit young professionals and students wishing to engage in public service within the Washington, DC Metro area and beyond. This is a great opportunity for an individual to learn the inner workings of a nonprofit and be part of a diverse group of young professionals committed to DC’s Asian Pacific American (Asian American and Pacific Islander, AAPI) community. We strongly believe in professional development and will support as many opportunities as possible during the internship. The intern will have opportunities to create and pursue projects of their interests as well.

  • Support fundraising activities through grant-writing, prospect research, maintaining donor information and soliciting in-kind donations.
  • Assist in executing logistics for CAPAL events such as the Washington Leadership Program series, professional development events and CAPAL scholar and intern events.
  • Assist with communication activities such as blog posts, social media, monthly newsletters, alumni interviews and outreach.
