CAPAL organizes regular professional development programming throughout the year in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Events are open to professionals from all sectors who have an interest in public service and/or the Asian Pacific American community. These events generally occur on a monthly basis and include networking mixers, speaker panels, and roundtable discussions.

Register for the 2013 Career Fair today! CAPAL hosts annual Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Career Fair each summer. The AAPI Career Fair is a unique opportunity to match AAPI students and young professionals with top employers in the Washington, DC area.
A broad range of federal andlocal government agencies, non-profits, and private sector employers attend each year. Our career fair is free and open to the public.
APA Round Tables
CAPAL and the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI)have partnered to create the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Leadership Roundtable Series. Join AAPI public service leaders each month in Washington DC for an informal discussion on their personal paths to success, as well as various hot topics in the AAPI community, including health, economic growth, civil rights, civic engagement, and AAPI leadership development.
Happy Hours
CAPAL hosts quarterly Happy Hour mixers with young professionals in the Washington D.C. metro area. Previous happy hours have included a bone marrow drive for Janet Liang and various fundraisers. Check our Calendar/Events page for our next happy hour event.
