This WLP session will discuss our nation’s cyber agenda, its implications, current government initiatives, and job opportunities in cybersecurity. Hosted by a diverse panel of substantive experts, the cybersecurity speakers will introduce their line of work and what are the basic issues and challenges they face in the industry. The panel will provide professional advice on breaking into a career in cybersecurity. |

| June 22 | Career Development: Thriving in the Aftermath of the Great Recession
The Great Recession was the nation’s most severe in 60 years. In its aftermath, recent college graduates and young professionals are facing a changed job market in which public sector and non-profit jobs are sparse. In this panel, our panelists will present personal experience and practical information on how to secure that job that inspired you to join the public/non-profit sector. The session will end with breakout sessions on the following topics:

Join CAPAL in welcoming a new group of Asian Pacific American interns to Washington, DC! Our opening event will feature appearances by members of Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus. | June 21st: Resume Workshop Location: US Capitol Building, Room HC-5 |
This year’s resume and networking session proves to be a great event. We will start off with a brief panel discussion featuring speakers from the nonprofit world, federal agencies, and the Hill who will share the best ways to get jobs in these sectors. Following the panel will be a resume review session where students can receive individual feedback. Bring your resume and prepare to hear the real deal about careers in the public sector! *Due to the popularity of this session, attendance will be limited. RSVPs will be necessary. |

From Arizona to Comprehensive Immigration Reform, immigration policy has been all over news in 2010. CAPAL is excited to present an Oxford-style debate to introduce this increasingly sensitive and heated topic. Both liberal and conservative policy experts will present their views and offer critical analysis on the issue. |

We will end the summer on a high note with a celebration of the accomplishments of young APAs in public service. Enjoy a delicious dinner and bid farewell to friends and fellow interns. We hope to see you back in DC next year! |

Directions to WLP
Exit the Capitol South Metro Station, walk up 1st Street, walk through Capitol Driveway, and enter through the south entrance of the US Capitol Building. Once inside, security will direct you to room HC-5.
