About CAPAL
CAPAL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan, educational organization that was founded in 1989 by APA professionals in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.  Its mission is to promote Asian Pacific American interests and success in public service careers, to provide information and education on policy issues affecting the APA community, and to serve the APA community at large.

In partnership with federal government agencies, will award internships with stipends at federal offices to outstanding Asian Pacific American (APA) students committed to public service.  Last year, 11 such internships were awarded.

CAPAL will also award two (2) scholarships to outstanding Asian Pacific American (APA) students committed to public service and community action, who will complete an internship in our nation’s capital during the summer of 2011.
