Professional Development

CAPAL organizes regular professional development programming throughout the year in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Events are open to professionals from all sectors who have an interest in public service and/or the Asian Pacific American community. These events generally occur on a monthly basis and include networking mixers, speaker panels, and roundtable discussions. This summer we will be hosting a series of career coaching sessions for our scholar and intern cohort, facilitated by a trained professional development coach.

Mentoring Program

CAPAL supports our cohort of scholars and interns by matching them with individual mentor matches based on career paths and professional interests. The mentorship program offers individualized support and guidance to our students in helping them navigate their professional careers. The mentoring program will be facilitated virtually this summer with mentoring pairs meeting on a weekly basis throughout the summer programs.
