What are your main responsibilities at your position? What are some of your big projects? (this can include projects at your internship, your specific CAP project, etc)
My main responsibilities include taking notes, creating factsheets and reports for the Forest Stewardship Program, and creating graphic designs. My CAP project includes creating a virtual toolbox for the APIAVote organization.
How does this internship fit with your professional and career goals?
I plan to explore a career in public affairs, specifically in environmental law and climate change. This internship will help me learn more about environmental and forestry topics, as well as help me develop skills and expertise for my career.
What do you hope to achieve this summer as a part of CAPAL’s 2022 cohort?
I plan to find a community of supportive fellow AAPIs and discuss pertinent topics relating to race and gender issues.
What does public service mean to you? What sparked your interest or desire to get involved with public service?
Public service means helping other people, and, in my case, helping the environment and making the world better. My desire to change the world and help others is what encouraged me to get involved with public service.
