December 3, 2019 marks CAPAL\u2019s 6th annual Giving Tuesday Happy Hour. The purpose of this event is to raise and increase support for CAPAL in the areas of awareness, capital, and partnerships. The Pie Smash is CAPAL\u2019s major promotional event during the Giving Tuesday campaign. This is a lighthearted event designed to incentivize donors to give by attaching a dollar amount ($100) to each pie. If a Board Member is able to reach that amount, they can designate someone (e.g., the donor who helped them reach that amount) to smash a pie in their face. Leading up to the event and during, the Board Members will raise money from their networks, and can use the event as an incentive or a follow-up.\u00a0 You can donate to our individual Board members through our Giving Tuesday official donation website<\/a> and donate to our organization as a whole through our Facebook fundraising page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This year, our Giving Tuesday theme #CAPALNEXT30 highlights the decades of CAPAL\u2019s dedication to its mission. It allows us to look at how CAPAL will envision itself for the next 30 years while acclaiming the services it has provided, through the growth of the\u00a0#AANHPI<\/a>\u00a0community in the public service sector.\u00a0 CAPAL will dedicate to its mission more as we look forward for the next 30 years to all the opportunities as we have given the AANHPI.<\/p>\n

Please note that the four Board members (Cathy Yu, Liz Zung, Keith Preciados, and Will Lam) will not be pie smashed, though they will take any donations.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
