2018 CAPAL Board Informational Session

The Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL) was originally founded in 1989 by seven AANHPI professionals in D.C. with a mission to empower Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) youth by increasing access to public service opportunities and building a strong AANHPI public service pipeline. Since then, we’ve grown from an all-volunteer nonprofit organization to one with up to 20 volunteers on its board and two paid full-time staff. We recognize that each board member brings a unique set of skills and experiences, and are looking for passionate, hard-working individuals who believe in our mission and are driven to strengthen CAPAL’s unique model for developing the next generation of AANHPI leaders in public service.
