CAPAL congratulates Julie Su on her confirmation as U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor. Born in Wisconsin to Chinese immigrants, Julie has long fought for workers’ rights and the civil rights of marginalized communities as a lawyer, professor, and government official, including most recently as California’s Labor Secretary.
While we recognize this important confirmation, we also continue to support fully equitable representation of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders across all levels of government and public service.
